Kathleen Wiley is the "pot of gold" I've been looking for! I love being under her umbrella!! I first used one of her CDs when I taught 2nd grade. And I fell in love with it immediately. It had so many catchy and EASY songs that really taught something!

Before Kathleen, I would teach a concept, we would practice the concept, and then my students would be asked to practice it by themselves. I would always have kids that could never remember how to do the concept the next day...let alone the next week!

Now, after Kathleen, I teach the concept, we talk about it, we SING about it using one of Kathleen's many songs, and then they go off to practice the concept on their own. I've got kids remembering! I've got kids singing while they work! I've got kids working happier and more confidently than ever before. It's amazing but it make so much sense. We remember commercial and T.V songs from our childhood because of the "catchy little tunes." My students are remembering concepts just as well because of Kathleen's catchy little tunes!!

I'm now teaching a 3/4th grade split class. I have some of the same students I had in 2nd grade. And when we're doing math---guess what those students are doing? They're singing the song about "when the smaller number's on the top and you've got to subtract" They know what to do!!

I had one 4th grade student who I would have to remind every single day to check that number on the top when subtracting. We sang that song a couple of times and he's

got it now. When he seems stumped, the students will tell him to "sing the song!" We're now working on long division and thank goodness Kathleen's got a song for that too!!

I'm so happy to have discovered this gem! Her songs relating to the State CORE are right on! She even has classroom management songs!! It makes teaching fun again! And the kids can't seem to help themselves-they smile and join in!! You should too!!
